“The most successful course is one that will test the skill of the most advanced player, without discouraging the duffer, while adding to the enjoyment of both”…wrote world renowned golf course architect Stanley Thompson. He further added “One should always keep in mind that more than 85 per cent of golfers play 90 or over”
We believe these statements are fundamental to the Wascana Country Club Golf Course.
The Wascana Country Club is blessed with a beautiful and unique natural setting stretched along the winding shoreline of the Wascana Creek. The vast open landscape of water and wetland reeds create a striking backdrop of contrasting of colors and textures to the emerald green fairways and greens on the golf course, providing an attractive and distinct identity in Canadian golf.
The lush par 72 “Wetlands” course plays to 6900 yards from the Championship tees and is spread over some 170 acres. There are multiple tee areas to accommodate all levels of play. The Wascana has 20 playable holes to allow for 18 holes to remain in play during any periods of maintenance or renovation work.
Although only moments away from Regina, the course is quiet enough to give members the opportunity to escape the city.
Each hole is lined with mature, towering trees in front of a Regina skyline background. Flowers are intermixed into perennial beds that add an unparalleled burst of color to contrast the lush green of the course.
The golf course has continuous asphalt cart paths with decorative curbing so no round need to be missed should in climate weather set in.
The Wascana Country Club’s identity is found on the golf course. It’s where a business relationship starts, friendships are made and memories are shaped.
