KIM WALKER
Kim Walker was inducted into the Wascana Hall of Fame in 2019, two years after being inducted into the Regina Sports Hall of Fame (Athlete in Golf in 2017). At the time of her introduction, Kim had won the Wascana Ladies Club Championship from 2005-2017 (13 consecutive championships), the most of ANY member in the history of the Wascana, men or women, going back to 1911. Prior to joining the Wascana, Kim won the Royal Regina Ladies Club Championship in 1993 and 1994. Kim won the Regina Ladies’ City Amateur Championship in 1998, 2002, and 6 consecutive years from 2012-2017. Kim teamed with Randy Gilewich (also a Wascana Hall of Fame member) to win the Saskatchewan Mixed Team Provincial Championships in 2014 and 2015. She won Saskatchewan Women’s Amateur in 2016 and was the Saskatchewan Women’s Order of Merit Tour Winner in 2015, 2016 and 2017. She represented Team Saskatchewan at the Canadian Women’s Amateur in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Kim’s love and passion for the game of golf took on a new role in 2015, when she was hired as the Executive Assistant/Membership Director at the Wascana Country Club.
Since her introduction in 2019, Kim added 4 more Wascana Ladies’ Club Championship wins to her resume (2019, 2021, 2022, 2023); 3 more Regina City Ladies’ Amateur Championship wins (2021, 2022, 2023); won the Saskatchewan Women’s Senior Amateur in 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023; won the Saskatchewan Mid-Amateur Championship in 2019 and 2023; won the Saskatoon Ladies City Amateur in 2023; was the 2023 Saskatchewan Women’s Order of Merit Tour winner; was a member of Team Wascana winning the 2022, 2023 and 2024 Saskatchewan Champions Cup. Kim highlighted her career in 2023 when she finished 7th overall at the Canadian Senior Women’s Amateur. In all, Kim has won over 50 tournaments throughout Saskatchewan.
Kim continues to work as the Wascana Membership Director and in 2024/25 served as Interim General Manager “I love the game of golf and am so appreciative of everything is has given back to me. Through tournaments, volunteering and my work at the Wascana, I am so happy to have the opportunity to promote this great sport”.
